JESUS IS MY ROCK

When I was growing up and going to church, I use to sing a song called, Jesus is a Rock, but it was just a song that really had no meaning to me until I got saved. During the time in my life when God was showing me that I was lost and needed to believe that I needed God to work salvation in me, I saw the steadfastness of God and His unchanging character. Although He had to show me how wicked I was and how much of an unbeliever I was, He constantly let me know that He loved me and wanted to work salvation in me.

Since I have been saved, nine years as of March third, there have been a lot of uncertain times and circumstances in my life, but my Saviour has been steadfast and sure. Recently I changed jobs to have more time at home. After that first day, I was very uncertain about whether I had made the right decision or not. As I thought about the uncertainty of my job and that my children are going their own way, I began to be thankful that no matter what happens, Jesus is my Rock and He never changes.
