From Grandmama's Heart

My dear grandchild,

As I look into your crib, I think that one day real soon you will be lying there. Even though we have not officially met, I feel as though I know you. Thanks to today's technology I have already seen your sweet face with big eyes and cute nose and little prefect lips. I have counted your toes and fingers and they are all there and perfect as you are.

I am looking forward to kissing your sweet checks and rubbing your tiny back. Even though I do not know the color of your eyes or hair if I close my eyes I can smell your sweet baby smells. I can hear your little voice as it demands to become the center of your own little world.

As your Grandmama, I want to give you that world. I would like to make it a beautiful safe place to live in, just for you. I would like to make your every dream come true. I also would like to promise you that no one will ever hurt you; that everyone everywhere will love you like I do. All of these things are not mine to give, but what I do have to give is yours. I unending, a lap that is never to full, ears that are ready to listen, stories that have never been told, and hugs and kisses without end. All of this I have to give, and give it to you without reservation.

Mt. 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Even more than the love that I feel for you, there is someone else that loves you. His name is Jesus and I am looking forward to telling you all about Him, and all the wonderful thing's he has done for you. He wants to be your friend. He has written a wonderful book that tells all about himself and all of his promises to you. Of all my hopes and dreams for you, Jesus is my greatest hope.

I will close this now knowing that soon I will be holding your body in my arms and fill you with hugs and kisses and Grandmama's wishes.

Your loving Grandmama

Jer. 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; ...

Ps 139:13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. Ps 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully [and] wonderfully made: marvelous [are] thy works; and [that] my soul knoweth right well.

Ps 139:15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, [and] curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

Ps 139:16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all [my members] were written, [which] in continuance were fashioned, when [as yet there was] none of them.

Ps 139:17 ¶ How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

Ps 139:18 [If] I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
