"ONLY HE COULD SAVE MY SOUL"

I was lost and burdened by sin;

I was dead and empty within.

Then one day, one blessed Lord's day,

Jesus Christ came my way.

The preacher spoke words so true;

He said, "The Rock is going to crush you."

"Unless you fall upon this stone,

You'll be left to die alone."

Until this day I'd never needed Him so;

For now I had no place else to go.

Jesus was my only hope, you see;

To avoid Hell for eternity.

I had no life without the Son;

There aren't many ways, there's only one.

Only He could pardon my sin;

Only He could cleanse within.

Only He could save my soul;

Only He could make me whole.

After believing, I called on His name;

My life has never been the same!

Suddenly quietness filled my soul;

There was no more burden or any need;

I had been filled with Christ indeed.

"By grace through faith" I was saved;

His name is worthy to be praised!
