"SONG OF THE FAIREST "

Oh, my soul, where have we been?

Oh, what a journey we've made from sin.

Egypt's a long way back over the hills;

The hard road before us is glory filled.

Lord, Lord, God and King,

Love that so sweetly drew me.

Calmed my fears and swept me away;

From all of the hell of those darker days.

Now God hold me and for a time,

Kiss me with Your sweet words sublime.

Let's fly o'er the troubled land I've come from,

And onward to morning where waits Your love.

Lord, Lord, how can it be,

My works of love are fragrant to Thee?

And wondrous still that You should call,

Something like me fairest of all.

And draw me near to caress my soul,

Whilst I sing of Your love and Your beauty behold.
