It's easy to love when someone's loving you.
But loving the enemy is not so easy to do.
It takes the Grace of God; and after all,
Didn't He love you when you didn't care at all?
Everyday I see poor lost sinners in need.
Didn't know till God said what they needed was me,
To love them where they are; not to be condemning or cold.
But let them know just by living, that God will make them
whole.
(Chorus)
Thank you Jesus, thank you Lord;
For buying the freedom I could not afford.
Oh, help me have compassion on the outcast and blind;
To let them know by loving them - God's got them on His
mind.
Thank you Jesus for loving me.
When I was of those lost sinners dying in need,
You gently called me, wooing me home,
with goodness and mercy, how could I continue to roam?
(Repeat Chorus)

It's easy to love when someone's loving you.
But loving the enemy is not so easy to do.
And loving the enemy is something we must do.
It takes the Grace of God, and after all,
Didn't He love us when we didn't care at all?
