"I Want to be Your Everything"
By Robert Hunt

I woke up again this morning and I stumbled down the hall

There she was with my coffee and someone said this can't be all

For as much as she loves you she won't be the one

That will come running when your soul cries for my son.

Later on this morning as the sun rose over the land

I said oh God, that's beautiful, the wondrous works of your hand

and He said I'm glad you noticed but there's so much more to me

and if you'll just keep on looking I promise someday you'll see...

(Chorus)

That I'm more than just pictures and letters

I'm not empty dreams that seem to have no end

I'm not just a story someone told you

I am indeed your truest friend

I wanna be the son in your morning

shining even on the darkest of days

I wanna be the fresh air you're breathing

and the joy you find along the way

I wanna be the strong arms that hold you

I wanna be the greatest love you've ever seen

so much more than just a casual acquaintance,

I want to be your everything.

Later in the day as I read the pages of God's word I began to remember the many

sermons I had heard

Then God said stop and listen to what I have to say

I've been loving you for ever

before the ages had an age

A loving wife and children, brothers and sisters too

this good life you've been living is not the reason I made you

I loved you so you'd love me and so someday your heart would sing

How out of all your many blessings

I am your all and everything

(Chorus)
