It is Festival time again and I wanted to share with you the theme of our Cupbearers Festival of Joy. Make His Praise Glorious!!!! This is the plea of the psalmist to the saints, because God is worthy of our praise.
First let us look at the word make. To make something one must bring it into existence by shaping materials and combining parts. This is exactly what we must do if we are to make his praise glorious. Before I mention what those things are let me emphasize that we are not making God great or glorious, for He is already great and glorious. Neither are we making salvation occur, for that is God s work. We are not even making God walk through the church, because that is His choice. All that we are doing is working at making His PRAISE glorious, and even this work we can only do because God has worked and given us the ingredients to make this happen. Those ingredients are as follows:
A. God s Worth - Psalm 18:3
B. God s Works -Psalm 107:8
C. Our Words -Hebrews 13:15
D. Our Will -Psalm 146:2, Philippians 2:13
Psalm 65:1 says, Praise waiteth for thee oh God in Sion: Notice thatt it does not say that we are waiting to praise God in Sion. Therefore, in order for praise to be waiting on God it must be present. I hope you come ready to MAKE HIS PRAISE GLORIOUS!
Further explanation will be given at the Festival. See you there!
