The Church:The Ark of the Last Days
"By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became the heir of the righteous which is by faith." - Hebrews 11:7

In these days there is a great need for churches prepared to help people make it through the flood darkness. You might say we need an ark for the last days. The church should be that place, for it is the body of Christ. What better place to run for refuge in a time of storm than the House of God? However, in order to build a place for the saving of our house, we must pay attention to the plans of the ark, or the plan of salvation. There is a plan of salvation: a way which God has laid out for man to be saved! If our families are to saved, we must follow in every way the architectural instructions of God, who is the great carpenter. We need to remember that plans to build something have several important realities we must pay attention to:

1. Plans have detailed instructions. Details must not be taken lightly, and must be followed to create the desired finished product of the builder.

2. Plans have order. Materials must be placed together in the proper order to obtain a building that will stand the test of time. You don't lay the foundation on the roof.

3. Plans have a list of materials, or ingredients. These ingredients are selected because of the purpose the builder has in mind for the building or project. For instance, the ark had gopher wood and pitch because God knew it had to withstand the waters of the flood. Salvation also has in it materials that will help us to endure to the end.

>Much more can be said on this topic, but this was intended to whet your appetite to search for more. May God richly bless you for your faithfulness to His plan of salvation, not man-made ideas that change with every wind of doctrine. Remember, the plan has always been the same.
